Created by Earthen Games and designed by Matt Jorgenson, Planet Repossession Force is a sci-fi rogue-lite boardgame where you play as a super soldier who serves the Planet Repossession Force that has long left Earth and is attempting to reconquer the now perilous landscape of Earth's inhabitants.
We have personally met with the creators of Planet Repossession Force at Level Up 2024, and they were very dedicated to their board game. They explained the board game to us, and we were very intrigued. We hope for more from them and the best in their endeavors.
Overall, the game is a fascinating take on other dungeon crawl board games. Instead of dungeons, you attempt to traverse the hostile Earth while warding off enemy creatures in the far future. The artwork and colors are minimalistic yet also eye-catching and rememberable. As the relatable proverb goes: "Less can be more." The rules are relatively simple to grasp once you get your boots on the ground. You do not have to fight alone, however. You can be accompanied by your teammates in order to outperform the other competing super soldiers. But wait, there is more. If you are not a big board game fan but are still invested in this game, you can play the digital prototype version on Steam.
